This rustic cottage welcomes you with an array of nature, trees and shrubs. The entrance opens immediately into open plan living space of lounge/diner , then onto into the traditional kitchen with its country style cupboards and marble surfaces. Tucked away at the back of the house are 3 bedrooms including 1 master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and 2 twin rooms with single beds sharing a bathroom between. A passageway from the bedrooms leads towards the poolside terraces, with easy access to an al fresco dining patio.
AMENTIES – Please note there is no air conditioning within the cottage, but fans are supplied. And for the winter, an open log fire is working and available for use. Wifi and Internet package with 180+ channels is installed.
OUSTIDE SPACE
Aside from the cosy interior, the outside living areas offer something for all. The cottage is nestled amongst mature gardens with trees, Mediterranean shrubs and other interesting succulents. The rustic gardens hug the cottage with a shady alfresco dining spot where you can enjoy lazy lunches overlooking the pool. In its excellent position, encircled by rustic, paved terrace, the swimming pool water is clean and blue offering the perfect spot for families to enjoy a calming day, swim where sun worshippers can relax around the pool and enjoy sunbeds to soak up the rays with nothing more than birdsong to disturb the peace, and children can splash in and out of the cool, refreshing water until they are exhausted! An upper terrace offers a lovely sunset secret, where adults can enjoy the last of the rays with a glass of wine or two! (But this is NOT recommended for young ones; access is a little tricky and therefore not recommended for ages 7 or under).
Overall, this is a super house for a family to enjoy a peaceful and tranquil break together. But if you are looking for modern, shiny and new, then this is not for you. Those seeking a traditional and rustic ambience will revel in this wonderful property and all that it represents. The accommodation more or less all on one level, but with 3 steps from the lounge to the master bedroom, but without steps to the other bedrooms or pool and outside areas. Parking is within the grounds, free of charge. The roof terrace is accessed by an external staircase.
ARRIVING AT THE PROPERTY:
It is our intention to meet you in person at the property on your arrival to deliver the keys and welcome you. Some of our properties have key safety boxes and you will be informed of the code in advance, in which case you may be asked to check in alone and we will make a later courtesy visit at a mutually convenient time.

Please note check-in times are between 16.00h and 19.00h and we will try to be flexible with arrival times outside of these hours. For early arrivals, it may be possible to offer a “bag drop” facility. For later arrivals, there may be the key safety box facility. If not, and we are required to meet you in person for a late-night check in, the following fees will apply:

WE KINDLY REQUEST:
The house will be well presented for your arrival, and departure cleaning is included in the rental value. However, we do ask for a respectful co-operation with the removal of rubbish, and that BBQ facilities are cleaned of food and debris before you leave. Charges will be incurred if it is deemed that the property is left in an unacceptable condition.
DEPARTURE DAY:
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end! - and on departure day, check out time is requested at 10.00h. We will contact you towards the end of your stay to confirm this. We may be able to offer a later departure time only if there are no guests arriving on the same day. Unfortunately, however, this is unlikely in the summer months due to high volumes of guests
A car is essential when renting Casa Margarida as its peaceful location means there are no amenities in the immediate vicinity other than 1 restaurant at 750m - which can be reached on foot, for those who enjoy walking, as there is a hill to be tackled! But by car or by foot, Restaurant "Luis do Prego" must be tried!
