A 10 minutes walk leads you to an array of restaurants, shops and the beach of Alagoa with its gorgeous golden sands, sunbeds and water sports in high season
The villa interior is tastefully furnished, with bright and spacious rooms. The bedrooms occupy the entire first floor of the villa, with 1 master bedroom with private ensuite bathroom, 1 second king size room and a third twin bedroom both sharing a second separate bathroom. The ground floor open-plan living space includes a shower room /Guest WC and a well-equipped kitchen, ensuring that catering at home is a joy with its attractively black marble worktops, integrated appliances, large dining table and a separate utility room. The polished tile floors then flow effortlessly through to the lounge with 2 softly cushioned sofas and an open fireplace, ideal for winter lets. Daytime sun beams through the large patio windows which lead to the poolside terraces, where you can also enjoy “al fresco” dining at any time of the day, around the table and its traditional charcoal BBQ. In the afternoon, sneak around the corner to enjoy the comfy zone with its soft seating or relax on one of the sunbeds provided around the shimmering blue pool, with its attractive dolphin motif, providing the perfect refreshment for adults and children alike! The entire property is surrounded by hedges and with its securely gated entrance ensures privacy and safety for young children.
This is a private accommodation and guests will be able to access all advertised areas and use all advertised facilities. Parking is on street, directly outside, without a charge.

Our party of four stayed here just before the start of high season. Situated in a quiet residential part of Altura, the property is in a sunny corner plot, with very pretty shrubs and borders around a tiled outdoor area on 3 sides. There are spots both in sun and shade at all times of day. There are a few tall buildings/ flats which overlook the pool area but there are also private spots to be found. Apart from a similar villa across the road, there was very little evidence that the surrounding properties were inhabited. We could park our car on the driveway in the shade.
Inside the property, it is spacious, clean with cool tiled floors. The decor is slightly retro but has been well looked after. The lounge has large comfortable chairs with a larger area for the TV and a quieter snug corner. There are several remote controls for the TV etc. and despite some clear written instructions about how to get British channels on the TV, we failed in this regard (this didn't matter to us!). As a family of food lovers it is imperative that the kitchen was well stocked - we were not disappointed (the knives could do with a sharpen, however). There's a Mercado Municipal open 6 days a week every morning for fresh fish, fruit, pastries, coffee just a short walk away. A very convenient Pingo Doce (similar to a Tesco in the UK) is barely 200 yards away. The restaurants and bars are close and on beyond these is the lovely clean wide beach. The distance is walkable except for the very old and very young who might struggle at the end of the day. As an area, Altura is flatter and less dramatic than the west Algarve but it is also quieter, with the beaches much more spacious and uncrowded. If all you need from your holiday is sunshine, beach/pool and dining out, you won't need a car, though we enjoyed one for the added freedom. A few local maps, for both walks and driving, would have enhanced our stay. All in all, an excellent holiday. |

This is a spacious, exceptionally well-equipped villa with fabulous outside space, larger than it looks in the photographs. Everything is clean and well-maintained. Plenty of pool towels, glasses and crockery. The only thing we couldn’t find was usee more
This is a spacious, exceptionally well-equipped villa with fabulous outside space, larger than it looks in the photographs. Everything is clean and well-maintained. Plenty of pool towels, glasses and crockery. The only thing we couldn’t find was unbreakable glasses for around the pool. There is an excellent supermarket, Pingo Doce a stones throw away and lots of bars, cafes and restaurants a leisurely stroll away. We did find that many of them didn’t open until 7pm which can be inconvenient if you have small children. While we were there (August 16th- 23rd) the house opposite had five large dogs which barked loudly all the time. We would have preferred to sleep with the shutters closed and the windows/doors open to allow some air flow but this wasn’t possible because of the noise. Obviously this is beyond Smartavillas’ control but I mention it because if you are scared of dogs or need some peace and quiet it could be stressful. If you are less than average height be sure to take a tall person with you! I am 5’1” and I couldn’t reach the shower heads or a lot of things in the kitchen and I struggled to hang things on the rail in the wardrobe. Despite this I would definitely stay here again. Communication with Smartavillas was friendly and efficient and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. |

Fantastic Villa in a lovely, quiet seaside town. Everything provided including beach & bath towels, bedding, washing machine and UK TV! 2 minutes from the local supermarkets, 5 minutes into town and 10 minutes to the beach. Lovely clean pool.

You will not be disappointed if you stay here. We stayed at the villa as a family of eight of all ages. There is something for everyone here and plenty of space to spread out. We all had an amazing time and were all sad to leave.
