O Pomar is a superb spot, beautifully maintained with on-site amenities including a swimming pool, restaurant, gastro pub, health spa and a gymnasium. A 15 minute walk leads you to the quaint fishing village of Cabanas to discover the wide choice of eateries and riverside café bars and the gorgeous beach island reached by short boat crossing departing from the boardwalk.
ELEGANT INTERIOR
With its comfortable and elegant interior, Casa Pips is a fabulous holiday home-from-home. The main entrance leads to a plush open living area comprising of a large dining table and comfortable lounge seating, with a convenient, adjoining fully equipped kitchen. The first floor has 2 twin bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms and a bedroom balcony, and on the second floor, a spacious master bedroom suite commands the entire floor, comprising an ensuite bathroom, dressing area and private balcony overlooking the beautiful feature lake below. Leading out from the kitchen, the outside dining area with table and chairs and traditional BBQ offer the perfect spot for “al fresco” dining on warm summer evenings. And during the day, this is a super sunny spot, ideal for relaxing, reading and catching the sun rays in a private position.
ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE
The lounge and master bedroom have a superb supply of TV channels, with a full UK package including SKY, complimented by the traditional Portuguese MEO TV package with its choice of 180 channels - ideal for kids or guests wishing to enjoy evening entertainment at home. The second bedroom also has a TV but for this you will require your Netflix code. Excellent Wifi signal (Fibre).
OUT AND ABOUT
Just a short walk along the palm tree lined stairs to the lively central plaza of O Pomar with its fabulous swimming pool, well tended gardens, gastro pub and gymnasium. Perfect for lazy pool days! Otherwise Cabanas fishing village and the boat to the beach are just 15 minutes on foot. During high season, a small train runs between the beach and O Pomar for a small charge.
This is a private accommodation and guests will be able to access all advertised areas and use all advertised facilities. The townhouse is designed with 3 levels and therefore there are internal staircases. Parking is on the roadside directly infront of the house, without a charge.
ARRIVING AT THE PROPERTY:
It is our intention to meet you in person at the property on your arrival to deliver the keys and welcome you. Some of our properties have key safety boxes and you will be informed of the code in advance, in which case you may be asked to check in alone and we will make a later courtesy visit at a mutually convenient time.
CHECK-IN TIMES:
Please note check-in times are between 16.00h and 19.00h and we will try to be flexible with arrival times outside of these hours. For early arrivals, it may be possible to offer a “bag drop” facility. For later arrivals, there may be the key safety box facility. If not, and we are required to meet you in person for a late-night check in, the following fees will apply:

PRIVACY:
When booking private accommodation, we like to give you privacy during your stay. However, Smartavillas fully trained personnel are available 24 hours per day should you need assistance of any kind. We are only a phone call away. As this property has a shared pool, please remember that the local pool maintenance team will be accessing the condominium grounds to ensure that the communal facilities are kept to a high standard.
HOLIDAY GUIDE:
Smartavillas has a fantastic holiday guide packed with lots of information including points of local interest, activities, and restaurant recommendations. For your convenience, we will send you an electronic copy before arrival, and also provide a QR code in the villa.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING/SHEET CHANGE
As properties are rented on a self-catering arrangement, a daily maid and interim property cleaning service/linen change are not included in the price, but if required, can be provided for an additional charge. Further details available on request.
WE KINDLY REQUEST:
The house will be well presented for your arrival, and departure cleaning is included in the rental value. However, we do ask for a respectful co-operation with the removal of rubbish, and that BBQ facilities are cleaned of food and debris before you leave. Charges will be incurred if it is deemed that the property is left in an unacceptable condition.
DEPARTURE DAY:
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end! - and on departure day, check out time is requested at 10.00h. We will contact you towards the end of your stay to confirm this. We may be able to offer a later departure time only if there are no guests arriving on the same day. Unfortunately, however, this is unlikely in the summer months due to high volumes of reservations.

CABANAS
Sitting by the coast a few kilometres east of Tavira, Cabanas was once a traditional Algarvian fishing village with a mix of cobbled back streets and an unfussy waterfront of low-rise buildings looking out across the still lagoon to Cabanas Island. With the age of tourism, Cabanas and its inland neighbour, Conceição, have grown yet retain much of their charm. Attracted by fabulous beaches and a varied selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, both have become popular with Portuguese and foreign visitors alike.
Cuisine: Along the waterfront and dotted about the narrow streets, various restaurants and local eateries provide for all tastes and pockets, with some locally renowned establishments always busy – so be sure to book ahead!
Beaches: Reached via a short ferry crossing, Cabanas beach offers mile upon mile of dune backed golden sands lapped by the crystal blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean; a paradise just waiting to be explored and enjoyed.
Nature: At your doorstep, the Ria Formosa Natural Park is a nature lovers playground offering a myriad of marine and bird life to explore and enjoy.
Activities: Golf lovers will enjoy the Benamor Course sitting conveniently by Conceição while water sports can be enjoyed at Cabanas beach, particularly popular for kite-surfers. Criss-crossing the villages, the coastal ‘eco-via’ trail provides a perfect excuse for walking or cycling along this magical coastline.
O Pomar is located 1km North of the Cabanas Coastline. The use of a car is not essential when renting this property.

• Bus – Buses run across the entire Algarve coastline and the nearest stop is opposite the entrance of O Pomar - 2 minutes walk
• Taxi - There is a rank in the on the main road to the village opposite Pedras da Rainha holiday village - 5 minutes walk

Some municipalities within the Eastern Algarve region have now introduced a Tourist Tax, where charges of around 1€ per person per night are applied to a maximum of 7 nights. This charge is levied by the Government, not Smartavillas. You will be informed in advance if you are required to pay this, which will be required in cash on arrival, with a receipt issued for payment confirmation. It is also a lawful requirement for all non-Portuguese nationals to provide us with passport details for data entry into the national immigration records.
SECURITY DEPOSIT AND DAMAGE WAIVER:
We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest (Superhog), the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.
